From the data, from 2010 to 2016, both the total rubber production, unit yield and harvest area showed a downward trend, but increased in recent two years.
In 2016, the planting area of natural rubber was 388000 hectares, and the output was about 126800 tons, with a year-on-year increase of 30.7%. According to the latest report of the General Administration of rubber of Cambodia's Ministry of agriculture, forestry and fisheries, Cambodia exported 188832 tons of dry rubber in 2017, with an average price of 1586 US dollars per ton and a total foreign exchange of 299 million US dollars. There are 436339 hectares of rubber plantations in Cambodia, of which 170230 hectares are available for tapping, accounting for 39%. Cambodian rubber is mainly exported to China, Vietnam, Singapore and Malaysia.
According to the report of the General Administration of rubber, Ministry of agriculture, forestry and Fisheries of Cambodia, in the first eight months of 2018, Cambodia exported more than 120000 tons of rubber, an increase of 21238 tons over the same period of last year. The average price of rubber per ton was 1383 US dollars, while the rubber export volume was 166 million US dollars. It is reported that the total rubber planting area in Cambodia has reached 430000 hectares, of which the tapping area is 173000 hectares, equivalent to 39%, while the rubber protection area is more than 260000 hectares, equivalent to 61%.
