In Cambodia, conventional rice is mainly planted. Generally, 3-5 traditional rice varieties and 2-3 foreign rice varieties are mainly planted in Cambodia. The regeneration rate is slow. Due to continuous planting, there are certain degradation and separation, which are characterized by irregular field, easy lodging and low biological yield. Direct seeding (sowing) is often used in cultivation, with little or no fertilization, and less or no use of herbicides and pesticides. Planting density is high, individual development is poor, extensive management after sowing, basically in the state of relying on the weather.
