There are many processing enterprises in Cambodia, but they are generally small in scale, backward in equipment and slow in development. Some of them are still in the processing stage of family workshops, and most of them have an hourly capacity of no more than 5 tons. According to the data of 125 rice production enterprises in Cambodia, there are about 10 enterprises with an hourly processing capacity of more than 10 tons, 12 enterprises with an hourly processing capacity of 5-10 tons, and the rest are all below 5 tons. In addition, there are few large-scale rice processing plants (enterprises), and most of the rice is processed and packaged in different places. There is no deep processing technology for rice, and there is no rice bran oil processing plant. Rice husk and rice bran can only be used as feed. The slow development of the processing industry has damaged the interests of the whole rice industry, which can not provide high value-added returns for the development of the industry, which has a very adverse impact. In recent years, neighboring countries have realized the broad prospects of Cambodia's rice processing industry, and many investors, including China, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, France and South Korea, have gone to Cambodia or are preparing to open rice processing plants in Cambodia.
